What is Flickr?

Flickr is a photo-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share photos.

Why would I use Flickr?

You may use Flickr photos as teaching and learning resources. Flickr photos can be embedded into your Blackboard course for easy access by students.

Policy implications for external teaching tools: Before using any external teaching tool for the instruction of UQ students please consider this checklist.

You may copy directly into Blackboard:

  • any image you source from the open web*
  • your Power Point Presentation (with images)
  • Any image from a hardcopy source (as long as an electronic copy of the image is not available for sale)

Please reference each image.  Web images can be referenced using the URL.

* If you click an “I agree” box on the web prior to copying the image, then you are then bound by the terms you agree to.
