A wide variety of tools are employed in eLearning throughout the University of Queensland.  This page provides information about a small group of these tools.  Staff can access more resources through the Blackboard Staff Support Site in Blackboard, and also under the Staff tab in Blackboard under the heading "Building
Blocks, Additional Tools and Upcoming Upgrades". Students can find more information from AskIT.

Blackboard
Blackboard is the Learning Management System used at the University of Queensland, this system hosts a range of course and community sites facilitating the distribution of resources, communication and assessment.

 

Wimba
The Wimba Collaborative Suite contains a range of tools that incorporate voice and visual media to instruct and/or participate in virtual learning environments. Wimba Collaborative Suite consists of Wimba Classroom, Wimba Voice and Wimba Create.

 

Lectopia
Lectopia is a Lecture Recording system fitted in large lecture theatres (those with a capacity above that records and processes audio and the screen content on the data projector which can be made available in BlackBoard in a variety of media formats.
